Oxalic Acid is most commonly used for removing rust as a beaching agent for having ability to form water soluble salt with ferric ion. It has chemical formula C2H2O4 with molar mass of 90.03 g/mol and density of 1.90 g/cm3. This acid is also used as mordant in dyeing process and in baking powder as well. It is known to serve as miticide agent for beekeepers and provides protection against parasitic infections. Oxalic Acid appears as white colored crystals with odorless nature and melting point range of 189 to 191 degrees Celsius. It is soluble in water & ethanol and forms a colorless clear solution when completely dissolved.
