Lactic Acid

Lactic acid, also known as 2-hydroxypropanoic acid, is a naturally occurring organic alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) produced through the fermentation of carbohydrates. It is a clear to pale yellow liquid, completely miscible with water, and widely valued for its acidifying, preservative, pH-regulating, and antimicrobial properties.

In industrial and commercial use, Lactic Acid 88% is a concentrated grade commonly employed in food processing, pharmaceuticals, personal care formulations, textiles, and chemical synthesis. While dilute solutions are generally safe to handle, concentrated lactic acid should be managed with appropriate safety precautions.
